Miriam is an internationally hand poke tattoo and textile artist, driven by a lifelong curiosity about patterns, textures, and the stories objects carry.
Based in New York, she works worldwide. She first went to India in 2013, captivated by textile printing in Jaipur. Originally from Spain, she has spent the last decade deeply connected to the city and its craft.
She treats tattooing as a mindful act, a way to give form to meaning through care and presence. This approach defines how she understands her work emphasizing gesture and the connection with what is being made. Her practice continues to draw from her knowledge of fabrics, staying rooted in the process of making and a respect for craftsmanship.
Beyond this, her work has evolved to include teaching woodblock printing and exploring materials, symbolism, and their interconnections as a reflection on our origins. These Art Residencies offer immersive experiences where making, storytelling, and reflective practice come together.
Through her work and commissions, Miriam invites clients to engage with pieces that are not only beautiful but carefully crafted with attention to detail.
She also offers talks in which she shares her practice and the experiences behind her work, opening a space for dialogue about process, tradition, and creative intention.
